Yeah, it looks WAY better with the insides painted. I personally think it's STUPID to paint the outside of the lens.

Thanks..I just want people to see "dark film" isn't worth it or painting outside...it chips to easy. Go the extra mile and take them apart (Bake) and do the insides.

Yea painting the inside will make a big difference. Just spraying the outside won't look nearly as good.

If you really want to do the outside, I'd use the pre cut vinyl tint. It's easy to apply, and you can peel it off if you don't want them on anymore.

if you're just going to tint the outside. I say use film, not paint. That way, it's easily reversible.

i was in love with the vht until about 3 months later after parking in the sun it was as if my headlights wasnt ever painted. so i made my own i took regular automotive clear coat(omni brand and mixed some general black with it until i got the right tint and sprayed it.doing it like this was much easier they were the right tint with one coat.and it should last the lifetime of a paint job.

how many times did you coat with VHT when you did the first time? That seems crazy.

you have to bake them in the oven and loosen up the adhesive between the lense and the headlamp housing.
