how to do - JDM TAILLIGHTS ONLY UNDER $25
how to do - JDM TAILLIGHTS ONLY UNDER $25
didnt really wanna spend money on the original ones or spray em incase we messed up but we did Vinyl them
Took about an hour for both of the sets not bad after all.it was worth it only cost $20 LOl.
1) you'll need these following tools-red vinyl, heat gun, windex or water mix with soap even will do the job, razor blade, some ID or useless card to lay it flat nicely and a another hand to help you out so the job could be properly done for the first time.
this is the vinyl we used. heres the link to it

KIT

STEPS
1-REMOVE THE LIGHTS FROM THE CAR.
2-CLEAN EM GOOD WITH WINDEX.
3-CUT THE VINYL BIG ENOUGH FOR THE LIGHTS MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE ENOUGH ON THE EDGES ABOUT A 1 1/2 INCH. SPRAY THE LIGHTS WITH A LOTS WINDEX AND PEEL OFF THE VINYL,LAY IT ON THE LIGHT MAKE SURE YOU GOT ALL THE CORNERS COVERED AND START UP THE HEAT GUN THEN STARTING WITH THE ID CARD SLOWLY TAKE THE WATER TO THE SIDES AND KEEP THE HEAT GUN RIGHT OVER IT SO IT STICKS GOOD IF YOU HAVE BUBBLES JUST GET CLOSER WITH THE HEAT TO IT AND GO OVER IT WITH THE CARD. ONCE ITS LAID OUT GOOD THEN CUT THE EDGES CAREFULLY OR YOU COULD JUST FOLD IT IN ON THE EDGES WHICH LOOKS BETTER. HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS I WISH I COULD HAVE TOOK PICS STEP BY STEP FOR AN BETTER IDEAS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT.
WHAT YOU GUYS THINK??

This is such a good how-to, I can't believe it. I followed step 1 through 198,327,575 and didn't even do anything. :P
Please, do share on how you did it. I'm glad it cost little, but this doesn't help anyone do it themselves.

theres no "how to do" like your title suggest, its just the outcome of the tail lights. the color looks really hazy. not trying to be rude, but IMO it doesnt look as good as the others that did it. maybe its the vinyl.

Not bad by any means, but they look just like my old ones before I just got them "painted" with the red night shade.
They are very "cloudy" IMO and not nearly as clear as if you were to paint them. Great job though. I'd definitely look into some LED lights for those though. Factory lights were VERY dark at night with the same type of film that I had on mine.
I actually just posted mine up in here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-style-11.html
