I have a similar problem.. except mine is only when im in gear and deaccelerating.. Ive looked a couple different places, is this the tranny or the tcase.. the tcase was already rebuilt a couple years ago.

if your going to replace it might as well have sheptrans or another shop build it stronger for you

I drove around 20k miles on a whining tcase it never broke, just got louder and louder until I finally bought a new one.

Have the same thing

Its not too loud. But there is a constant noise. Gets a little louder the faster i go. Im thinkin mine might be on its way???
