you didnt get everything i said did you?
They will run double the number of spark discharges, but also you dont know if the dwell time is too high or too low. Too high and you get premature wear and too low and you get a crap spark. Why change when you technically get the worst of all worlds? Either go standalone or nothing IMO. These reviews of COP being a whole world better and giving 20horses just sounds retarded to me. Maybe i should try it so i can see the light...............

With this I will convince you.
You know the old systems of ignition? one coil for the four spark plugs and the distributor distributes the sparks, the old ignition systems make the double of discharges compared to this coil on plug setup, Understand???.

I saw that, but those have 4 wires. Is there a write up for the evo? I saw those on a Miata site here
Wires go to:
Wires go to:
- ground
- trigger
- 12V
- tach
haha, yeh but i dont see what that has to do with this at all lol. anyways, Would love to see back to back dyno runs from this
I ran one and back to back with the original coil packs and it made a massive improvement. Also i removed the OE earth line from the wiring harness and made one to earth on the engine black, so it was much shorter and larger
Don't know if it helps, but in the end the OE coil packs earths next to the thermostat housing, almost a metre of wire :s

I hope to get good results!!
Saw on another forum (lancerregister.com) this post: http://www.lancerregister.com/showpo...4&postcount=39
Guy said he used yaris coils and a harness from a "MAZDA PREMACY OR MAZDA RX8 its from the the harness at the radiator" to connect the coils to the evo oem connectors. Anyone have any idea what harness he is referring to? I am in the process of making an account on that forum to ask but its taking forever lol.
Also if you make your own harness what part from spoolin-up is used? EVO 4-9 Coil Connector - Crimp Male connector right?
