So i ordered an ebay vortex generator last week and i finally got it in the mail yesterday. Its just bare black ABS plastic with no paint and i wanted to keep it black. I figured i should just spray it with a glossy clear coat but i dont know what paint to use. Do you guys know of a good glossy clear coat that comes in a spray paint can or should i just bring it to a shop and have them spray it with two coats of clear?

 

bring it to a paint shop. it will look good for longer and you will be happier.

 

Yeah paint shop would be the best idea. But you messed up on getting a eBay one I had got two of em none of em had a good fitment they were completely off from the sides.. I got a rexspeed one now haven't had the chance to install it. Everyone says it fits good no problems so lets see.

 

i used an enamel gloss black paint on some old wheels of mine, scuffed them down and cleaned with acetone. did about 5-6 coats and they came out very clean and they still have the shine, havent dulled out a bit

 

shoud just order a rexpeed one. they have some prepainted for like $100. just installed my graphite grey one from them with oem fitment.
