does anyone know how to reclear or refinish carbon fiber? i just got a cf trunk and the top was faded pretty bad. so i wet sanded it and sprayed it with rattle can clear coat but it didnt really trun out so good so i wet sanded it a lil bit more and waxed it but its still very dull, it looks like dry carbon fiber. also there are some spider cracks at one of the corners. can that be fixed as well?

Did you wetsand and use a buffer after clearing the trunk? How many coats of clear did you do? How far down did you originally sand the clear coat down before re-clearing?

 

ya i wet sended it with 600 and then 2000 and i didnt use a buffer.
i put like 7 coats on after i sanded it a good amount

 

you wanna buff after wet-sanding, you take the shine off when sanding.

 

Throw the rattle can away and buy some real clear coat then buff it.
