Carbon Fiber fade

Anyone know of a quick and easy way to fix faded carbon fiber?

My spoiler's clear coat is flaking off and I'm wondering if i can just sand and re-clear coat it.

Thanks for the help

An easy DIY project or pay to have it done by a body shop that knows what they are doing with carbon fiber and have high quality clearcoat.

Another alternative is to wrap; https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...c-cf-film.html

Good luck just did mine not too long ago spent maybe $40~

The wrap is nice but it just doesn't have the real carbon fiber look

A local shop quoted me $700. I had to chuckle.

Careful I had a trunk done and it looked amazing for about two weeks, and one hot day 102degrees it was weird it looked like some of the foggy carbon started showing up under the new shiny clear.....

Search ebay for carbon fiber resin. You just mix a hardener in and paint it on. Little wet sanding.. a nice little buff! and wala! Looks better than new.

I'll try to find some pictures of the pieces I have done.

Just have a body shop do it. Shouldn't cost much at all, and they at least know what they're doing.

agree with above. I just had a shop remove the existing flaked off clear coat and had them apply another. Looks brand new
