The issue is that the pump had the wire that comes out from the pump removed and I didn't notice it missing.

So I installed the pump and have it operating without that wire.

1) I want to know what that wire does? And is it super important if it's not installed or connected in any way?

If it is important to have it installed and connected, I was going to switch the back cover of my original pump that had the wire protruding from to the pump on my car.

2) so I have the backing off already and I wanted to know if there is anything special needed to close the power steering pump back up? Like rvt grease or do I just put the back plate on and tighten down the plate?

3) what are the tq specs of the 4 bolts that hold the back plate down?

I attached pics of the back plate with the wire to give you guys an idea of what I'm talking about. Any help and info in these questions will help enormously!
