help walbro 450 vary low pressure

ok guy i been fighting with this for a week . new walbro 450 new fic 2150cc and new fuel lab regulator .. when i turn the key on i get prime when i try and start the car i get power to the pump @8.8 volts.. some times i can get the car to start idle for 1 sec then seems like it runs outta fuel .. i dont know what els to do at this point . i do not have it hard wired some people have told me to and some not to .. any help or advice would be great .. thanks guy .

8.8 volts seems pretty low, even for cranking voltage. I would assume you should get somewhere in the 10.0-10.2 volt range. Someone correct me if I'm wrong with those specs. What's the voltage KOEO??

the 450's have been melting some of the stock fuel pump wires and relays. you should really use an aftermarket relay, like the one stm sells.

Rewire with bigger gauge to the fuel pump should help

Ok guys I ended up taking my car to boostin performance in Chicago and come to find out I had a bad fuel pump right off the bat .. I'm sending it back to extrem-psi and there sending it in to walbro . Hope I get a refound seeing how this just cost triple . At least its fix and I'm hoping to put down some good dyno number this coming week . Thanks everyone for your advice

Did walbro end up confirming that the pump was bad? I'm having this exact same problem and am about to send it back. Just making sure it's the pump, and there's not just some stupid trick to make it work right.
