Water pump delete

Has anyone delete the oem water pump to install an electrical pump? my doubt is about how to install a idler pulley instead of the water pump to have the serpentine belt run correctly

English racing did years ago when they were chasing the stock turbo record.

Yes, it's been done. Not familiar with how, but english racing did it. If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to?

Cant you just runt a shorter belt or would that rub onto the motor mount?

Fewer things to spin means less parasitic loss. No, there's no clearance issues with the motor mount. Once you find the properly sized belt you're set on that part.

Cause we gonna use the CSF Halft radiator, and we need a better cooling + electric works better in low and hi rpm + little extra power.

It need a idler pulley, belt can't go direct from the p/s to alternator.

Buschur Racing also had an electric water pump on the BadBish. Maybe contact them.

ER likely had the AC and PS deleted on their stock turbo record car, so it wouldn't have been a concern for them. Hell, being a drag car, it may not have even had an alternator.
