Thanks everyone for their pacients on our cams. We have made a slight change to the look of the cams by polishing the lobs rather than just painting them. I will have pictures to post first of next week when Leh returns.

All durations will be ready for shipping on friday of this week!

Greg. I cant really decide which of these cams to go with...i love having good low end but would love to have the good mid and topend as well...whats the best setup for drag racing with everyday daily driving with all the above qualities...headstubs are not needed right?

i'm thinking about getting some cams and gears soon since I;m getting a custom tune by shiv in july. I autocross and do road course racing. From what I gather the 272/264 combo would be my best bet due to faster spool and more midrange torque. Is this what you guys would suggest for this application?

My Mods are listed below if it helps at all.

go with the 272/264 setup.

For the road course i would go with the 264/264 setup. the 272 is going to take away a little on the bottom end and if you get out of line and need the torque down low it will help much more there than 10-20ftlbs uptop that the 272/264 setup gives.

Just to give you guys a little run down of what we suggest.

264/264- stock turbo or road racing setup car. provides the most low end torque and wont run out of breath till the 6500 rpm range.

272/264- Stock turbo for drag racing and street use. provides good low end torque and will carry the power out to red lin

264/272- 05 stock turbo or 10.5 hotside 03-04- drag racing/ upgraded turbo as well that is small and used on the street. good low end power with and good top end especially good for drag racing. (we suggest cam gears for to tune the idle)

272/272- drag racing setup upgraded turbo or plans to in the near future. low end torque is weeker and top end power is the highest. Power all the way out to 8k rpms. (we suggest cam gears for to tune the idle).

280 cams tested. GSC will not be offering 280 cams do to the fact that power was only picked up on 280s above 7800 rpms. these are made for drag racing only engines that rev to 9k

Stock valvetrain is good for all your cams right? Or would you recommend upgrading the springs and retainers. In my case, I plan on keeping the stock rev limiter. Thanks.

Stock valve train works great if your keeping stock revlimit.

Head studs are a good thing to do with the cams becuase you are right there to do them. other than that no need for any thing else.

Sorry man the new finish actually costs us more than the old style. The WOW factor when you look at them is going to blow people away. we will have pictures up tuesday or so for everyone to see.
