It's finally here! Nisei Engineering Intercooler!

Now everyone druelling over the intercooler on my Evo can finally get one. We just finished final testing last week and the numbers were spectacular.

Here are some of our test results taken from https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...8&page=4&pp=15 of our test of the Nisei vs GReddy V-SPL (we have more tests coming):

We tested the Nisei core out last night and were suprised with the results. We went head to head with the GReddy V-spec Intercooler by testing both cores out on the same car with probes drilled in to the end tanks of each core. The ambient temp was 53 degrees F so we were thinking it was a bad time to really show how good the Nisei core is since the GReddy wouldn't have to work as hard to stay cool due to the low ambient temp. The Nisei core still managed to cool consistently 20 - 25 degrees more than the GReddy. Imagine what the results would be at 90 degrees ambient! We're thinking we would be looking at 50 - 80 degree difference in both cores. When looking at the GReddy core, you can see how bad of a design it really is. If you can hold up the core to the light and see through it then that's bad. The Nisei core has no light penetration while the greddy I could look down and even see my shoe with it. I have pictures of everything we're going to publish on the website. So, to sum up the test here's the 3 runs we did:

Ambient temp: 53F
Speed: 4th gear WOT pull to 110MPH at redline (that's why we test at 3 am...no other traffic in sight on the freeway)

GReddy V-spec:

Run 1:
Inlet temp - 193
Outlet temp - 78

Run 2:
Inlet temp - 210
Outlet temp - 84

Run 3:
Inlet temp - 204
Outlet temp - 84

Nisei Engineering Core:

Run 1:
Inlet temp - 201
Outlet temp - 66

Run 2:
Inlet temp - 210
Outlet temp - 62

Run 3:
Aborted because we started seeing traffic (approx 4:30 AM people heading to work)

We're anxious to run more tests in hotter weather. We have numbers from march of last year I posted previously. We're going to be testing some other competitors cores in the next coming weeks.
Check it out here: http://www.myevostore.com/product_in...roducts_id=276

We have TONS of pics of the intercooler I will be adding to myevostore.com, stay tuned!!

Local pickup is welcome, and we can install it as well! We offer a cash discount as well.

We just need someone that has the AMS core to come by the shop....we'd be more than happy to test it and offer a discount on the Nisei if they decide to trade-up.

We're looking for anyone in the so-cal area.

Fits the stock bumper flawlessly. The end-tanks are specially cast with indentations to fit the stock bumper. It's a pretty remarkable design.

The lower tray, however, cannot be used. We have a carbon fiber undertray coming out soon though. We're doing some more measuring for it today.

We could not register any pressure drop with this intercooler. The stock turbo pushes around 35 - 40 lbs/min, while the Nisei core can handle up to 70lbs without seeing any backpressure or pressure drop throughout the core. The core is efficient up to 80lbs/min. The Nisei intercooler has 23 rows in order to eliminate pressure drop by allowing air to constantly flow through the core.

The intercoolers are stored in the El Monte area along with the shop. Lake Forest is where myevostore.com runs out of. I dont have any in stock here yet.

That's correct. It blocks about 2 inches of the core. That's the beauty of bar and plate though. Even though the fins may be partially blocked, it still functions as a heat sink distrubuting heat throughout the core. It's better than not having anything behind the beam at all like 95% of all the other intercoolers out there. Plus, there's two small slits on the bumper bar that allow some air to pass through.
