Hello
Denso recommends them changed at 30k. On their site they say that iridium
can last up to 120K miles! But due to different condition, high boost, leaner AFRs, ect
They recommend 30k. I've had mine for about 5k Miles so far and everything seems perfect.

Did anyones stock plugs break when they took them out or are these isolated "jackass" incidents?

Usually they don't break when you take them out. You want the engine to be cool, and hopefully it wasn't torqued on there too tight.

When are these needed? I pulled my stock IX plugs last weekend, and they had the perfect tan color. I've got a mail-in flash on an otherwise stock motor. I'm thinking that if anything, I might try the Denso Iridium in the stock heat range.
