The BEST standalone for your Evo8 - AEM EMS - is IN STOCK and ready to ship!!!
Hi guys, we have several AEM EMS standalones in stock. Get yours and get ready for this season... INSTALLS IN SECONDS!
Please visit http://www.boost-solutions.com/evoAEMEMS.htm for a full description!!!
Here are the details:
Every AEM EMS ships out with two base maps: one for the stock MAF sensor, and one for the AEM 3.5bar MAP sensor. These maps are a good starting point, and are tuned very safely. The users are supposed to have the car tuned by an experienced tuner on a dyno for maximum performance and reliability.
All AEM EMS settings are configured for the Evo8. The end user will have to adjust the starting, idling, fuel, and timing tables, and still have the car run nice, and make good power. All other tables are preset, and they will work fine with the settings from AEM. Still, these extra tables are a powerful tool to obtain maximum performance out of your car, when using a bigger turbo, injectors, or nitrous.
Here are some of the important features of the AEM EMS.
- Context sensitive help
- New redesigned menus with predefined templates
- Easy setup to view different parameters from your engine
- Wizards for injector, coil, o2, boost, speed , MAP or MAF, coolant, EGT, air temp, etc sensor setup
- Enhanced sensor library – you can run either the stock sensors, or many aftermarket sensor, and have them setup in seconds
- Engine rev limiters – user definable main and 2step rev limiters
- Shift light control – define your own shiftlight outputs, and also, your own shiftlight points based on the gear your are in
- AC control
- Internal logging control – 7 fast and 8 slow channels for data collection every time you drive the car. Logging rate can be from 1 to 250 samples per secong on the fast channels
- Anti-lag control – choose between drag race or rallye style anti-lag setup
Fuel Control
- Precise fuel map with ability to view fuel pulse, fuel raw, and msec/bit value for more resolution – helps control big injectors ( 1000, 1200, and even 1600cc). Also, you can change the injector size from here.
- Accelaration and decelaration fuel control
- Precise O2 sensor feedback for improving drivability – the AEM EMS will compensate for tuning the main fuel map,
- Automapping – tune the car yourself on the street just by driving at different load and rpm points
- Fuel trims
Barometric pressure compensation
Air intake temp compensation
Warm-up enrichment
Battery offset for the primary or secondary injectors
Throttle injector correct
Boost fuel correct
EGT fuel correct ( EGT sensor needed)
Individual cyl trims
User defined trims
- Injector phasing
- Staged injector control
Ignition control
- Ignition trims
- Air temp ignition correct table
- Coolant retard table
- Individual cyl trims
- Coil dwell control
- Ignition multiplexing
Comprehensive Engine start tables
- Crank injector table
Idle
- Coolant dependent idle
- Main idle target map
- RPM or throttle dependant tables for after start control
- Ignition dependant and fuel offset dependant idle control
Boost Control
- Affordable boost control solenoid
- Closed loop boost control for basic tuning
- Open loop based control for different boost trims ( rpm, throttle, or vehicle speed dependant boost control)
- Hi/low boost switch option
Traction control
- User defined traction control with adjustable sensitivity, with possible ignition retard, ignition cut, or fuel cut
Nitrous control
- Separate fuel and ignition correct tables for nitrous operation
- Load, rpm, throttle position and vehicle speed based nitrous control
Transmission options
- Manual transmission ratio table
- Automatic transmission control, with possibility to control shift points and line pressure ( only Toyota Supra MKIV, and 1994-95 Ford Mustang)
- Torque convertor lockup control
Options
- Ability to turn on and off separate injectors and coils – used for testing
- Dash – predefined or user definable dashes for customized data display
Logging
- Manual logger with as many channels as the parameter window
The current price is $1685 shipped.
Add a speed density kit with a 3.5bar MAP sensor and an external Intake Air Temp sensor for $200. That will allow you to tune up to 36psi boost...
And of course, since we are an authorized AEM tuning shop, we will provide you with the after sale support.
Evo7 application available as well. Please PM us for details!

Can we still get the 5 BAR MAP sensor instead even though we have the stock turbo (Of course not to push it that hish, but just in case we change turbos down the road, we won't have to change the MAP sensor if we go beyond 36 psi)? Thanks.
