Cleaning Shoe Scuff Mark

I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestion on cleaning scuff marks my door. I have the scuff marks on the inside of the door. I get these damn scuff marks everytime I get out of the car.

I've tried a damp towel but it seems to come back after it drys. I prefer not to use any of the shine stuff, it makes the interior of the car too shiny for me. I prefer the dull stock of the car.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

You should be able to buff that out w/ some wax.

They are whitish gray color. I'll try some polish too.

The bug and tar remover is very strong and can damage vinyl/leather/plastic, just be careful. If the scuffs are coming back, then they are scratches. You could try to use a dark polish that has some greasyness to it which will hide the scratches. Just try to blend the polish (grease) into the rest of the door so it doesn't appear "wet".

I'll try and match it if possible. I plan on washing my car this weekend so I'll work on the scuff marks after I wash it.

Thanks guys.

Did you mean you have scuff marks on the plastic area of the inside of the door? If so putting wax on that is a big no no. You'll have some nice white residue afterwards on plastic. See if you can find some plastic cleaner at your local autoparts store. I got mine at griotsgarage...kinda expensive though.

Fingernail might leave fine scratches on your paint.

I use Vinylex; it's a cleaner and conditioner.

I have them too, it's from when you get out of the car and your foot hits the speaker grill and the side pocket and leaves scuff marks. I can't open my door all the way in my garage so it happens every time I get out. I usually just run some water over 'em to get the dirt off, but they never really go away, for me at least. I think just a vinyl cleaner will do it, just don't use Armor All as that stuff is WAY too greasy.
