I wanted to see what tail lights all you evo owners out there prefer. I personally Like the Evo 7 taillights.

1. Evo 8
2. Evo 7
or
3. Evo MR

 

I prefer the Evo7's also .. or modified Evo 8's with black housing instead of the chrome + clear turn signal (NON MR STYLE) ...

 

I ***ing hate the clear ricer lights

 

IMO, they're not "ricer" unless you put clears on a car that doesn't come stock with clears. Does that mean the Lexus RX is "ricer"? Looks clean IMO.

 

i cant' believe one person actually voted for the evo 8 tails.. you must be on crack if you think those lights are remotly good looking or appealing...

7s all the way. Totally transforms the look of the car to classy from ricer. MRs are still black rice lights.

 

I perfer MR,first reason itis cool and great looking

 

if it's not an MR, then why make it look like one... that's how i feel. although the MR tails are really nice.

 

i have NEVER got a straight answer on this.. does anyone know why they didnt' put the evo vii tails on our evos.. or even more so.. why they didnt' offer it as an option??.. any 100% sure answer or honest ideas why would be great

 

i haven't looked into it, but i'm gonna guess it's because the VIII was the first model brought to the U.S.

 

Maybe US DOT restrictions. After all, the reverse light on the 7's is covered by the red...and basically illuminates pinkish.

 

some mercedes are like that and so is the old mercurey couger. i think that they gave us the altezzas cause they thought that everyone wanted that look- all the aftermarket altezzas sold etc. funny thing is that nobody really likes the look of the altezzas, they were just a fad- the new thing for lex is the all clear lights w/ leds and the reflectors on the bumper.

 

Personally I like the stock VIII lights. I think it is one of the things that sets the car apart from OZs, and base lancers to the people that don't know. The funny thing is I think that cars that didn't come with that style from the factory (like civics and so on) look stupid with them. But hey it's your car so whatever makes you happy go for it.
