those look better. now my question is how do you know when tehres oil in it? how do you drain the oil? is there anything inside the cf cans to catch the oil or is it hollow?

It has a separator tube feeding into some steel wool to catch the oil and there is a drain on the bottom.

New ones I am making have a clear channel to see the oil cast right into the side of it.

I am making my new one much larger as i filled it completely on the track in one day.

I think the point is... is the "Blow-By" on an EVO really that bad to warrant a catch can? I mean in some High HP applications yes I can see why... but on a standard car... is it really necessary???

I'm coming from GTR, Supra and Zed performance cars so, these I know about blow by (GTRs especially) but an EVO with the same amount??

god some of you probably think I'm crazy. I'm using two catch cans:

since then I have changed the setup with steel braided hoses (those pictured didn't last too long). I also fitted AN adaptors to the cans which I mated to a 90 degree hose end allowing me to re-route the hoses in a cleaner manner. plus this way I can get the damn hoses off much easier (for me it was always a PITA to pull off hoses from barbed ends).

damn... that is sick, you should make a how too.. thats the kind of setup i saw, however the helix can was on its side.. pipes sticking up. Also i noticed those hoses reall turn a nasty yellow quick, so im going to make sure you put mine together with a dress up kit.

oh yeah.. probably an old topic but where should i go to get that battery and how much?

yeah, the clear tubes turn real gross real qiuck. plus mine started to deform from the heat (got soft and collapsed on itself). I'll try to take some pictures of my current setup tomorrow to give you some ideas.

the battery is a odyssey PC 680MJ (metal jacket). I got mine off of ebay around ~100 shipped. If you're serious about getting one, PM me and I'll tell you who NOT to get it from off of ebay (horrible experience with a popular odyssey battery seller).
