I made a complete breather and full-flow oiling system out of these exact components for an engine I built some years ago. They're the absolute best of the best and used mostly at refineries, power plants, etc.

You can get seamless stainless steel tubing that will withstand thousands of PSI and never leak a drip. You can also polish the tubing/fittings. They're super tough and don't get scratched up like that anodized (IMO) junk.

Best of all is that once you bend the tubing and get the whole setup built, it's very easy to take apart and put back together. No stupid hose clams, hoses, or zip ties. Everything is sturdy and can be unbolted and rebolted into place easily, as well as be adapted to hydraulic (or other) hoses where flexibility is required.

It's way overkill, but if I do a breather system on my Evo, this is how I plan to do it.
way badass.

Hey denali i've got a second about your 2nd can for the PVC line. As in the pictures you posted before you remove that line which comes from the cover and runs down to the intake manifold. How the hell do you get to the bottom of that line? I have no idea how I would get my hands or anything down there. Maybe i'm looking at the wrong place? Could I get a more detailed explination about the 2nd can?

Well, if you're following the line that comes off the PCV valve you're in the right place. The part of the line that attaches to the intake manifold isn't the easiest to get to, but it's not too bad. It's been a while since I've done this but here are some pointers you could try: taking off the strut tower bar might free up some hand space. I think I used some pointed needle pliers to pinch the pinch clamp. From there I wiggled the clamp up the hose to where it was loose. Afterwards you can pull on the hose and it should come off. If it doesn't use a flat head to coax it off. and if that doesn't work try spraying some WD-40 down there.

When you attach a new hose to it, you could either re-use the factory pinch clamp if it fits or use a regular scew-type clamp like I did. Now tightening that thing is somewhat tricky, and the easiest way I found was to use an extension with the appropriate socket + joint socket. You need the joint else it's gonna be pretty difficult to get to. Other than that it's not too bad. When you are sliding on the new hose, there should be some residual oil on the fitting off the manifold. That helps slide the hose on a lot. If there isn't or you already cleaned it off, use some WD-40.

Hope that helps.

hey I like that weapon r catch can, just wish it was divided into two separate resevoirs so we could have one hooked up in between the intake manifold and valve cover and the other side hooked in between the maf pipe and valve cover.

I have an idea. Can you just cap off the openings at the intake manifold and maf. Then connect the PCV and valve cover opening to that weapon R catch can. Then put an extra opening on top of the catch can with a filter so it can breath?

WOOOOOAH!

THAT'S what Im talking about. A new take on the situation, not just a different shape can.

Shoot for $110, I'll buy TWO and run one for each system.

Yes you can. I had that setup in my GSX. I got rid of the PCV valve and replaced it with a fitting though.

On a street driven vehicle, you won't promote ring seal. You will eventually have piston ring issues. The PCV does work. I have relocated the PCV onto a catch can in the past, but it works the same as denali's setup.

Matt, I can make you a custom box if you want.
