Pics of my engine bay after some minor work.....

Here is a picture of the Engine bay the day it was picked up from the dealership....

Here is the engine bay at the start of my clean-up/wiring/vacuum re-route.... Note the MBC Ziptied to the Radiator hose :mamoru: I ran out of Vacuum line when installing stuff

Here it sits after a few hours of work

I painted the Upper IC pipe Gloss black, replaced all vacuum hardlines with out of sight soft vacuum lines, painted the Manifold Heatshiled, painted engine hoist tab, rerouted some harnesses, and reinstalled my MBC and Intake scoop.

Whaddya think?

And why does Mitsu cover up this neat little Magnesium symbol on the valve cover from teh factory? Stupid bulky hardlines....

Home Depot was out of the smaller sized in black, so I just dealt with it.

Will be an easy swap once I get a hold of some.

How did you route the long cable that runs across the top of the valve cover?

What other lines did you re route. Looks very clean under there.

Did you use the same paint for the IC pipe as you did for the heat shield? Also is the shield hard to remove?

No, I used an extra high heat application flat black paint for the shield, and a 500degree low temp engine paint in gloss black on the IC pipe.

Removing the heatshield is one of the easiest things you could possibly do. 4 12mm bolts need to come off. Takes about 2 minutes total.

Do you have to put anything on the pipe or shield before putting the paint on?
