What other lines did you re route. Looks very clean under there.

Well, to answer a few peoples questions......
I simply unplugged the connectors and removed all of the clips that held the harness to he engine in any way. Then I tucked as much of the harness as I could in between the head and the fuel rail to keep the bulk of the harness unseen. I then turned the rear engine hoist tab downward, and tightened it to hold the harness well. I then used small Zipties to hold the rest in place. I should have done a writeup..... Its alot simpler than it looks.
You should definitely sand the entire pipe with 120grit or there abouts until the whole surface is scuffed in a evenly disspersed fashion. I sanded with 80, then 220 grit, and put on a coat of rust-o-leum primer before I started painting. Taped off the ends and sprayed on 2 coats, about 15minutes apart, and let it sit for about 14 hours before I installed it. Turned ot perfect.
Lets see some pics
Also, were you ever on Twinturbo.net? If so, you remember me?
Canon Digital Rebel. Iso 100 6sec exposure.
I did 2 coats about 15minutes apart. The paint I used dried to the touch in about 10 minutes and fully cured in about 10 hours. most paints should be golden after drying over night.
WHere did you re-route the main harness...and more importantly how?
Do you have to put anything on the pipe or shield before putting the paint on?
Nice almost as nice as mine

Remember, the throttle cable is much like a mountain bike brake cable, it can be bent in a linear fashion a pretty severe amount, as long as kinks arenot present.
At first I had the cable ziptied to the STB, but I didnt like the way it looked. Now it is just ziptied to the main harness which was routed in a more hidden location along the back of the valvecover.
i would feel uneasy about rerouting and remounting the throttle cable, but thats just me...it doesnt really get in the way as far as looks are concerned, but if you run into some trouble with it, it can cause some problems...
nice work though

I was worried about this also, but I have complete confidence in it holding up in this location.
I aso squirted a bunch of teflon cable coating for bikes into the cable on the TB end of it, just for added security concerning a sticking throttle
