Yeah After searching, there sure doesnt seem to be much of a gain. ALthough a hone/polish couldnt hurt, the coating is what truly counts though
bobby,
1st of all, my hats off to you for the cleanliness and tidiness. now the only way i can 'make myself feel better' would be telling myself that my car is 3 years old, it cant be that clean afterall....
do you have a pic of the main wiring harness that you've done? mine is in a mess now and wished to get it done..
thanks.

Possibly. But Id recommend removing the tabs and and brackets, and just pushing the harness between the head and the intake mani, right on top of the fuel rail. There is a perfect amount of space there, and seems to work out nicely.

I used the little Engine Hoist Hook to secure the harness down. By loosening its fastening bolt you are able to turn it down onto the harness, and retighten it leaving the hook holding it down
that bend, in both cars, looks pretty extreme. It'll hold up for a while, but eventually it'll rub through the housing. The analogy to Mountain bike brake cable was used earlier. Being a mountain bike racer, and INSANELY OCD about my bike, if i had a brake cable like that i'd kill myself. I'd leave it as it came. there is a whole bunch of friction in the bend of that cable, and over time it will wear out. I had my housing on my 1987 Pontiac 6000 LE snap before and the throttle stuck open on the highway. just reached down and pulled it up and then idled to a stop... fixed it with a dr. pepper can actually. pretty ingenious. but yeah, long story short, i'd change it back if I were you...
questions:
can you just use the high temp duplicolor engine paint on both the heat shield and pipe?
polishing/honing is smoothing out the inside of the exhaust mani, correct?
what is porting? I've heard of a port and polish, but never thought as to what the port would be.
how much does a ceramic coating cost roughly?
