There are more important things in life. IF you've already got the dings, put everything in perspective. You've got 4 working limbs, you're not blind, you've got internet access, and we've all got the luxury of having a hobby in enjoying the evo. That said, prevention is still key.

Bummer about the door dings. They're almost impossible to avoid. Like wearing a new pair of tennis shoes - people tends to "accidentally" step on them when they're spankin' new but not when they're worn out.

As for parking far away or taking up two spaces - that won't work where I live (Bay Area). We have too many haters here. Your ride will most likely get mess with when parked far away and/or taking up two spaces (even if half the lot is empty). Damn haters.

Dings? How bout $3900 in rear-end damages? I think dings are pretty negligable compared to that. But I do agree they suck. I haven't found any as of late but I usually make sure to park in spaces that have plenty of room between cars.

The only one I have is one that I put in myself! I parked next to my work truck and then opened up the truck door and before I knew it, bam! Talk about being p*ssed off!

I heard that the dry ice trick only work on steel, but not aluminum.

The best solution IMO is paintless dent removal (electromagnets & vacuum). That and body spoons (requires removal of inside panels).

What's with you guys taking 2 spaces? To me that will cause more of a: "that motherf*cker took two spaces. What an as*hole. I'll scratch his car." attitude from people hating. Door dings are just something you can't get away from. Sooner or later you will get it and it is a ***** when you have it.

I think most of us do it pretty far away from the regular spaces, so only a true hater would think that.

If you and then your'e in the same boat, parking amongst others who swing thier doors open. and don't give a second thought to it.

If I can't find any spaces like that, I'll more than likely leave if I have an option. Almost a year and zero door dings.

The only problem I've ever had was some younger mother in an SUV. I was walking by and she said "Nice Park Job". I told her "I know, almost a year and no door dings". She got all *****y and mouthed off or whatever, and I told her "well, SUV's take up 2 spots too, it's just that they park line to line and open their doors directly into other people's cars. If everyone drove normal sized vehicles maybe I wouldn't have to do that. She said something about "At least I know how to park ble ble ble" really pissy. But aside from that, no troubles.
I park properly and what did I get in my pilot- a door ding. So, I decided to take two spots(actually the other spot is a no parking space with cross markings) and within a span of a week got keyed in both the driver and rear doors in an employee parking structure. So many jealous haters out there.
