Neway I guess what I am getting at is this.... Does anyone else have door dings??? I guess it will make me feel better knowing that I'm not the only one!

Paintless dent removal -- as long as the paint is undamaged.

Sorry dude, I have no dings(knocks on wood). I pretty much keep away from other cars, I don't mind the extra walking distance. If I have to park next to cars, I will only park in an end space. This is my fifth vehicle and my third new one and I have pretty much learned about how much respect people have for the vehicles of others.

I park miles away from anything, and for good measure I take 2 spaces. I will drive around till I find 2 open spots, or if there aren't open spots, I hunt for an end space and park very far toward the end over the line. If I can't find any spaces like that, I'll more than likely leave if I have an option. Almost a year and zero door dings.

The only problem I've ever had was some younger mother in an SUV. I was walking by and she said "Nice Park Job". I told her "I know, almost a year and no door dings". She got all *****y and mouthed off or whatever, and I told her "well, SUV's take up 2 spots too, it's just that they park line to line and open their doors directly into other people's cars. If everyone drove normal sized vehicles maybe I wouldn't have to do that. She said something about "At least I know how to park ble ble ble" really pissy. But aside from that, no troubles.

my car is super clean. only one ding. i was in a 7-11 parking lot, no one around, everystall was open. i park like 3 rows back. i come out and there was a 5.0 stang sitting right next to me, like 2' away. no one else in the lot, and he had to park right next to me. i was in straight and he was backed in, so now i have a nice ding in my fender, with a touch of blue paint, i was pissed. 6 months of nothing then some "drain on society" decides to be a dick. i need to pull that fender off and knock it out, and touch it up. oh well one of these days

I have had a couple dents rubbed out of my Evo. It is relatively easy and quick to have done. It will take a little more time if it is on a crease. I would call around and find a good shop. I would recommend one, but unfortunately the one I use is out here in CO.

You won’t be disappointed. The dent will completely disappear.

Nope, it will work on most nickel sized dents. After a heavy hail storm in my area, our insurance company did a catastrophe team setup at the local Ford dealership. They were either signing checks or sending people out for PDR. The technique that has had MINIMAL success with smaller dents is the dry ice and heat gun technique. The PDR requires removal of door panels or head liners etc. and then special tools such as the "whale tail" and the "45". These only work if the paint is not cracked. Otherwise the cracking will just get 10X worse.
On topic again: I have one door ding on my rear passenger side panel that is, thank God, above the crease and one on the roof somehow. I got a quote for $110 for both via PDR.

HAHA, my girlfriend, who by the way knows I love my car very much, has a 02' Cavalier with those stupid rubber door protectors. Luckily they saved my butt when she hit my door with hers. All I had was a little black rubber streak from that. Scratch-Xed once and it just looks a little hazy in that spot now. Soon to be Klassed though and then.....all gone!

No dings yet... I always take 2 spots. No matter how far away you park, some jackass will always park right next to you.
