Stereo+Speakers=Installed, RS

I got two Kicker Coaxial 6" for the rear, and component Kicker 6" with 2" tweeters for the front. They only had two universal mounting brackets for the speakers so, I used them in the rear since there is less usable flat space. The speakers say 6" but they fill out to a 6.5" I bolted the brackets down so they will not move, I used some dynomat for vibration, and used the speaker assembly screws to fasten the speakers to the bracket. Worked Great!

Now onto the fronts, I started by taking the doors off, being an RS I had manual windows. Took me 10 seconds to take the clip off with a small thin screwdriver, and without damaging anything. I didnt really know what to do about mounting the Kicker in there, was hoping they would fit... So I checked for window clearance, good, and looking around for something to use as a bracket. I find the ideal pieces I need. Stock center caps from a 1992 Eagle Talon TSi AWD(the center caps are like 7.5 inches), hehe I break the tabs off so it's all smooth and I contemplate cutting the hole out of the center. Since it had a nice Mitsu symbol on it. Then I start cutting away, then start trimming the edges to fit the speaker. Ok now the speaker fits flush in the mitsu center cap, I drill out the holes and bolt it to the door frame, once again with dynomat in between for vibration. Then I screw the speaker into the custom mitsu bracket with provided speaker assembly screws. Will not move!

Now the fun part, I gotta mount the crossover units somewhere, as well as the tweeters. I saw some put the tweeters up on the a pillar, not me. Black on tan looked really really tacky. So, the area above and to the front of the door handle has enough space so I drill out a 2 inch hole in my brand new RS door panels, EEK! I screw them in and VIOLA, MAGNIFICO! Looks OEM.

Now with the crossover unit, no real space to put it so in the doors they go, I stuck window trim replacement foam on the backside(for vibration) and triple tie strapped(heavy duty) it to the inside door framing.

I put all the door panel stuff back on and close the door, no vibration whatsoever. Open close, Open close. Nothing, perfect! I turn the key to Assy and enjoy the music from my custom MP3 player component stereo system. ahhh.. nice

Then I switch to FM and WHAT!?!?! I have no signal, nothing, on any channel. I double check the radio plug into the back of the deck unit, still nothing!!!! So I'm at a loss for words, anyone tell me what might be the problem? Maybe being the RS the radio wire is disconnected somewhere else? Thanks in advance!

I tried to use the stock Infinity/Mitsu head unit(bought used on here) and it wouldn't work without the amp and all the other crap. I bought a Clarion and it was wire in and play. No problems.

How do you get the window crank handles off on the RS? I'm trying to get my door panels off and I'm stuck there. Any tips would be appreciated.

if you pull apart that lil piece of rubber between the window roller and the door panel you'll find a little clip, find some hook like object to pull that sucker out, then the window roller slides off easy, i had the same problem!

Make sure that clip doesn't go flying! They like to do that.
