You were doing great until you started talking about fosgate. Not saying their products suck because they dont, but with Diamond Audio and Alpine products, the fosgate stuff is gonna be the weak link in your setup.

yea i dont' know very much about sound systems, it was just what the guy at the shop i was recommended to recommended, so does JL make and sub/box combos that are small and would still give me a trunk, i'm looking to save some money but if it takes me longer to get quality stuff i'll do it.

I would go with JL or PPI amps. I had PPI 3400 before and then switched to 300x4 JL....sounded soooooo much better.

TO ANSWER YOUR ?, i would flip a coin between the CDA 9835 & the 9855. it depends on your usage. the 9835 has the AI feature, but the 9855 has mp3/wma features. both are fabulous & i am deciding which one to throw in the '05. i already have the alpine TYPE X 12". i'm looking for a deal on the TYPE X components & the amps to match.

if you get the right front speaker setup, you won't need speakers in the rear. i run Niche Audio components 6 1/2" in the stock front locations (no rear speakers), 200watt 2 channel Sony amp running those, & a Majestic Audio 670watt mono amp running a Fosgate P3 12" in the trunk all controlled by a Pioneer DEH P9400MP deck. yes all power to speakers is continuous (RMS) power not peak.

alpine products have always been easy to use. find a store in your area that has them & play with them for about an hour to see what you think. i haven't done that yet myself.

as long as the deck you choose as at least 3 sets of 4 volt pre-outs, you should be fine. Glide touch looks real simple from what i've seen. the JDM model is the CDA 9855Ji.
