No matter what aftermarket speakers you get, you're gonna lose almost ALL of your bass, I can guarentee it, my friend did amp and speakers in his '04 WRX and it has awesome sound quality, but there's no oomph to it at all...

It has A LOT more than it will, all stock cars do, stock stereo systems are set-up to...oh right, you replaced your head unit, well then yeah, i'd do new speakers too. Stock car stereo systems are set up to get THE most out of the materials, but once you replace any of that, you lose a little bit of quality

ok i went out to do the rear speakers, and this so called "metal ring" metal adapter is too small for the rear speaker hole, so is the whole speaker...how in the hell did you guys do 6 -1/2" in the rear?

also they gave me the wrong harness adapters for my stock wiring, so i gotta go back and take those back too.

I told you 6" would fit, not 6 1/2" lol, if you want to fit 6.5 inchers than you have to do some cutting

what the, 6.5" are too small? That's insane, we tried to fit 6.5" ones in my back deck every way we could think of without cutting and they were always too big...I'd go to a professional install place and just ask them to measure and check what size your rears should have, cuz that's really freaky, and awesome too if you can fit bigger speakers...8" heh yeah

Im happy with my cheap jensen dvd headunit from circuit city and infiniti kappas powered by it. I just tune the bass down to 0 for the speakers, and just have the bass coming from my 10" woofer and amp.
