Since most of the system are parts left over from my previous car, not much more money is being invested into making it work in the evo... And there's still money left over to put in mods...

The Infinity system with the sub is good enough for me. I'll put the aftermarket stereo money down as an extra payment on the car.

I replaced the stock head unit and speakers after about 3 weeks of having it.
Went with the Kenwood KDC-MPV8025 CD/MP3/WMA Receiver, and I tried two sets of
Alpine SPS-170A 6-1/2" speakers.

Some people think I have a small subwoofer in the car when I turn it up, it sounds great.
My first time with Alpine speakers, and I am impressed.

I replace my deck with the Alpine CDA-9835: http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/...y=45&p_main=10
Great Unit to work off of. Looking at getting 2-sets of Alpine SPS-170 6-1/2" Type-S Series Coaxial 2-Way: http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/...=104&p_main=10
And a single Alpine SWR-1241D 12" Type-R Series Dual Voice Coil Subwoofer: http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/...=150&p_main=10
To power all the speaker going with the Alipne MRV-F450 5/4/3 Channel Power Amplifier: http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/...=130&p_main=10
Its rated at 50x4 & 200x1. Should be enough. What you all think???

I did the same deck, but with all JL components, if you like the Alpine stuff better, do that, but I've compared and for the price JL equivalents are better

I like the Alpine amp cause it works with the headunit. When the Alpine amp is connected w/ this unit it displays temp and volts... Plus the price. JL 5 ch is a more $$$. But I do like JL.

I bought a Single 12" Kicker L7 solo baric with an Alpine V-12 amp running 325 RMS...then replaced the CD player with a Sony Explode (forgot the model)....i like it a lot...plus its pretty light weight as far as sub setups go.

I believe this brand is what Lexus uses for their high end stereo options in the cars. I know they were putting them in the GS430s for awhile.

Cool. Diffently want to see some pics. Also what amp are you using? I like 5 ch amps. I know JL make one but don't know the cost. Know its more than $500 though.
