That's a picture of the trunk in "car show" form.
If I have to go anywhere far, I have a cover for the subs, and just put the spare in the trunk.
For real long trips, the sub box/floor unit lifts out, and I can drop the spare into its proper place.
Then I put the original floor back and hook the sub amp to an Alpine 12" sub in a Qlogic box, and toss that in the trunk.

1st thing I did to it. But it was a no brainer for me. Took the system out of my trade-in. Sounds 10xz better than stock Kenwood hida-deck w/ infinity speakers (tweets, mids, & rears) and a 10" MTX subwoofer (T-Box). Powered by a Kenwood 400w 5-channel amp. And can't the forget Sirius Satellite Radio. I can't stand commercials and all the bla-bla-blabbermouthing.

Has anyone tried the Infinity Perfect 6.1 in the front? It looks like they might not fit since the depth is 2 3/4"

Also how do you wire component speakers in since there is already a crossover? Do you have to run new wires from the deck, or can you use the existing wires that go to the woofers?

Thanks

i have the pioneer 6.5 inch screen dvd/cd head unit mounted in the lower compartment.
boston acoustics z6's in front, 10"sub in trunk. jl audio 300x2 powers the fronts, jl audio 500w powers the sub.
this is a pricey setup, but sounds great.

I'm putting in a Sony MP70 with the CDX757MX changer. The reason for this is because they are designed to be very rough ride skip resitant and as we all know by now these EVO's have a very harsh, bumpy ride.

I'll be changing my stereo maybe 6 months to a year after I get the car. I'll be going for Alpine/Pioneer/Sony head unit and JL Audio components for the rest.

Stereo is a must for all tricked out rides, Im going with an alpine mp3/cd deck JL audio component system for front speakers and JL 6.5's for the back redoing all the wireing adding 75x4 watt JL audio amp to run the speakers. Putting a 12" W7 in the back (hits harder and better sound than 2 W6's ... I checked) in a custom JL audio box powered by a 650 watt JL audio amp (@ 3 ohms) all monster cable and RCA's. I may add a 1 farad cap if needed. I tested this system out in the shop sounded killer for clarity as well as volume and bass only down side is the cost... oh well nothings too good for my ride

Mmmmm... that sounds like a smart set up, but I hope you put some more "go" parts in your car, that sounds like alot of weight. None the less, you have a contrete idea of what to do and that's smart.
