Turbotrix tune in Pensacola, FL *56k beware*

I didn't have pictures of my car until the day of the tune. It is not a show car or very flashy, just a plain 03 RR evo. This was this past weekend's Turbotrix tune hosted by V&T Performance of Pensacola, FL.

How's the car running after the tune? Did you have any problem installing the TT kit?

It's the Shearer manifold that comes with the turbotrix kit. The install was a breeze. I am running a turboxs utec, hks 272's, and ams 780 injectors with the kit and it runs like stock. The only way you can tell the difference is the slight lope at idle. I am very pleased with the setup I have and the tune Mark gave me. Of course I am still finishing off the race gas in my car, so I will let you know how drivability is on pump gas.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. I was street tuned, so no dyno numbers. I prefer street tunes because I think my car runs better with a street tune. Honestly with all the dyno debate going on in car forums I think the only thing dyno numbers are good for are if you basline your car stock and dyno it after certain mods to see if you are picking up power. I am more concerned with my mph at the 1/8th or 1/4 mile. Track doesn't open back up until Feb so I will keep you guys posted. My best mph in the 1/8th on the stock turbo was 89, so we'll see how much "ole girl" picked up from the turbo.

What turbo are you running with that kit? How do you compare it to the stock turbo power and spool up wise?

I am running the turbotrix 50trim innovative turbo. I am on a stock internals with HKS 272 cams and headstuds. I love the drivability of the turbo.

In 4th gear rolling into it, the turbo starts spooling at 3k, by 3.5k I'm making 10lbs of boost, around 4k it is making 20lbs of boost and by 4.5k 30lbs of boost. The car feels very linear until about 4.5k then its a beast. I shift at 7500 so there is plenty of powerband for me. Some people may say it's laggy, but for me it is a perfect daily driver.

I think it suits my driving style nicely. My buddy and I were having this conversation yesterday...It seems as though the stock turbo spools up so fast that if I were to drive it and shift around 3.5k the rpms would "hang" or it would buck. With the upgraded turbo I can drive it so much smoother....just my opinion though.
