Alarm with remote start

Has anyone ever heard of this company or has used these alarms on thier EVO? Prices are decent but I don't know about the quality.

Remote start usually shouldnt be used with manual transmissions =P You might stick the car in first gear when you're parked and try to use remote start just to have the car stall out everytime. I know.. it's happened to me lol. As for remote start.. I personally recommend the Clifford 2 Way Pager System. Looks great, is only around $250, and has the cool little remote/pager.

thats only if youre careless...im in so cal where most places i park my car at, the roads are relatively even so the e brake by itself is fine...if i have to put the car in first gear, i make a note of it, and i start the car manually.
and for those that dont know..DEI is the mother company that supplies the equipment to viper, python, and clifford. so theyre the same thing minus the colors and tweaking a bit.

That whole system looks really good. Seriously a good deal for all you're getting. I've had some problems with my Viper top 'o the line system with remote start. I use the remote start all the time and love it but the viper system is kind of crappy quality and really a pain to program the features. I still haven't had any way to resolve the problem of the doors unlocking when I start the car...the alarm stays armed but the doors unlock. stupid system as far as programming goes. And expensive for the money. I'd be really interested in this Asian Wolf system if it's any good. Was somebody saying that it's made by DEI????

DEI owns Clifford, Phython, and Viper.

I have the Phython 881xp on my WRX.

The Viper 791XV and Clifford RSX3.5 are the same alarm as well, just with different colored remotes.

Its a great system, it has 2 way paging, a remote start system, and turbo timer built in.

i'd stick with DEI for alarm systems as they have been doing it for a very long time and they build quality products

This system can be hooked up to the neutral position sensor so the car does not start in gear. The WRX has a Neutral position sensor for manuals, not sure if EVOs do, but if they do then that can be hooked up to prevent it from starting in gear. Also, if you have the turbo timer feature activated then the car will always be out of gear when u leave it as it will still be running when you get out of the car.

i donno the model since i didnt keep the box. its black with the lcd and 4 bottons on it. and no i didnt install it myself, i took it to an audio expert around here and have him installed it...also have him put in a solanoid for the trunk so i can pop hte trunk via the alarm as well.
i wouldnt let bestbuy or circuit city install it because i used to work at circuit city and i know what kind of guys work back there, theyll take about 2-3 hours and honestly its not enough to be precise on a complex system like this.
i dropped off my car in the morning around 9am and picked it up at 5pm...about 4 months later and all features and fucntions are still working great.

rsx3.5 all the way.... faux cf keyfob what could be better?? seriously i don't bother with the remote start... it compromises the entire alarm system especially with the evo's keychip system making the car impossible to hotwire anyways... the remote start actually makes it easier for someone to steal your car... with the remote start i'd strongly reccomend a backup battery/alarm, possibly a hoodlock, and a toggled kill switch for when you don't plan on starting your car for awhile
