Spark Plug Cover repaint or....

My spark plug cover looks like crap. The previous owner must have placed it upside down on concrete and then slid it across the pavement by accident. Most of the paint is missing off the Mitsubishi name. So...has anyone repainted this item? I guess I would spray paint it silver and then try to mask off the name and spray everything black. Or maybe if I could find the candy red color that the valve cover is painted and I could make the mitsu logo and name that color instead of silver.

Alternately if I could find a stainless or chrome cover that had NO insignias I could live with that too. I have seen the CF covers and they look a little ricey to me so not interested in that either.

Your thoughts?

Well, besides that I don't agree that the CF cover is rice... if you don't like it, then your repaint idea is pretty good. I've seen metal covers without logos, but I don't think it's any less "ricey". BTW, I think my new setup would look great on your TB Evo, I have a black painted valve cover with CF spark cover:

So you guys think painting the lettering candy red to match the valve cover looks silly?

Yeah, pretty ricey, huh? That piece plus the black valve cover are courtesy of John (carbon8ted)... he had a major part out and I took a bunch of stuff off his hands (including the black headlights).

I'd go ahead and do it... I mean if it turns out to look good then you'll be unique. Like Links0000 says, if it sucks once you see it, then you can just repaint it! Do it

Cool, I think I will try it red first and see how it looks. Maybe I will post some pics of it and let you all decide. Going to start a new post for the paint code.
