Just because you don't feel the need to put a ROLL bar, not a harness bar, in your convertable, doesn't make his setup any safer.

And last i knew, 20's on anything wasn't going to crush your neck/spine in a roll-over.
Not sayin his setup is safe, just sayin I'm sure he knew all of this before he installed the stuff, so no need for every person posting to tell him about it.

And no way am I putting a roll bar in my car until it is fast enough to need one at the track or I drive like I'm actually gonna roll the thing.

And 20's will cause your brakes to go out way faster than stock wheels, which has a much higher possibility than someone rolling their car.

Hrm, i guess thats news to me, as any brakes i've ever had on a car, have had enough power to lock the tires (kick on the abs). How you're going to lose brakes in that situation, i have not a clue. Are you trying to claim you're gonna over-heat them, and fade them or what?

Mine stock was fast enough to need at least a roll bar. When open tracking a car, safety is paramount.

edit: and if the original poster's harnesses aren't for tracking the car, auto-x or anything of the like... i'm really not sure why he got them, unless he wants the "ricer look", i mean, "racer look".

Running with a roll bar in a street car is extremely dangerous as well, unless you wear a helmet all the time

you're mistaking roll bar, with roll cage.

a cage is dangerous. A roll bar is probably (rough guess) 4-6 inches behind my seat back. I'd have to get out of the car and get in the back seat to hit my head.

A cage, with bars to your side (ouch) and across the top of the windshield (double oww), is asking for trouble.

Ah, yes, I heard those were good for people that don't want a harness bar, thanks!
