Ummm....WOAH. That's some amazing skills you have. I would highly suggest that you use the program AutoCAD. It may take a few days to get the hang of it, but at the progress I have seen you do, it should be a piece of cake. I have taken a engineering class for it and am now taking an architecture class with it as well. I will be taking engineering 2 next year.

I think you will like AutoCAD a lot and be very skillful with it as well. Best of luck to you in the future.

I have always said that creativity only can come out when your not fighting the tools.. You need to practice with the tools until your comfortable with them and know different ways to do the same thing..

3d, 2d graphics, etc.. If your fighting with the tools, or don't know whats available to you, you will have a hard and frustrating time.. Thats why practice is so important.

Programmers can relate to this also.. You may have an amazing idea for a program, but until your proficient at writing code, its hard to express the idea in the best way and therefore may not have the best functioning program..

----

Also, about the AutoCAD, I compare Autocad with 3Dstudio Max in this way.. (an old engineers saying) Its like the difference between precision and accuracy.. Autocad is used to produce precise drawings able to be measured to scale and used for reference (if your drawings are done that way) where 3DStudio is used to create an ACCURATE rendition of what something should look at.. You should be proficient in both products, and be able to transfer drawings and ideas from one to the other.. This applies to being an Engineer, and being a graphic artist.. When you work with 3d animation, its good to create your drawings as precise as you reasonably can, because you may need drawings or dimensions that can be used by a Visual Effects team to create a physical prop of a portion of your drawing, it saves everyone hours of work.

I have always dreamed of working for Lucasart, ILM, Dreamworks, Pixar.. I interviewed with a local video game company a few years back, but never went any further with it. I am a much better 3d artist than I am a computer "hacker" and I'm stuck in a boring job working and supporting computers all day (though I have to admit being a Forensic Analyst has its good days, like when I get to investigate hackers and whatnot)

Follow your dreams, as soon as you compromise you'll just wish you at least tried to persue it.. I remember winning a few awards for my graphics work at a trade show called Siggraph, and then never going any further with it because I stopped working in the field, and no longer had the time to focus on it any longer.

I really wish I could get back into it, but I live on Long Island, NY, and there are very few SFX houses around here that focus on physical and virtual "visual effects" since I can do both.

amazing work. my sister graduated from OTIS college of Art and Design and is a big designer and she is very very impressed. I hope to go to Art Center in Pasadena to go threw their automotive design program. that would be my dream come true!

I do have a quick question for you, you spent all that time and hardwork into those 350z models, but you completely butcher it with the #1 most over-used and retchid font Base02 as your watermark?
