I need help getting a rack. which one is cheaper thule or yakima? I have a Gsr so no aluminum roof so I can put a thule on my car I just want the rack and bike attackments cause I'm looking into buying a road bike right now but I need to purchase a rack before that......anyone mind helping me? I'd prefer to buy a used rack(cause its cheaper) but I don't mind buying a new one as long as its not ridiculously expensive

 

check craigslist i peiced my together failry cheap with attachments I prefer yakima but thats just me. just make sure you get q102 clips and q83 if you get yakima you can get the clips on ebay cheap

need some clarification if i own a MR i can only go with thule? is that correct? have read that yakima doesnt offer racks that work with the aluminum roofs

 

You have it backwards Thule mounts to the roof via the gutter clips. And yakimas mount to the actual pillar of the car. Yakima is the rack you want if you have a MR
