You can definitely roll fenders without pulling them using a fender rolling tool....it's all in how patient you are and some use of common sense. My fenders look 100% stock on the outside, but I have rolled the inner lip to about 60 degrees.

The roller should not be applying pressure on its own. If it is that means you are not doing it right. When I did it it was sort of just touching the fender enough as to not move, but I applied the pressure needed by lightly pulling on the tool while rolling with my buddy using the heat gun.

If you are doing it right, you should see small changes in the fender lip before having to change the roller angle or height. Some of you guys sound like you are trying to get this done in like 5 passes with the roller or something. I must have used at least 150 passes per fender changing it slightly every 10 or so passes. Good Luck

Check out this lex, it has the most badass fender pull I have ever seen! They are stock rear fenders rolled and pulled to the max!!!

This is by far one of the cleanest fender jobs I have ever seen!

Absolutely you will have to do some serious fender work in the rear with this setup...

Ya mat have to in the rear. I just installed a set of Enkei NTO3's 18x10.5 with a +30 offset on a Friends Evo X that is Lowered on Tein springs. Didn't roll the fenders at all front or back and it has 275/35/18 tires too. The only rubbing issue at all was Very minimal and at full lock when turning the steering wheel all the way to the left. It just barley rubs the inner fender plastic wheel wells. But considering that your Evo X's can fit a 9.5" wide wheel to a 10.5" with out have to really do any fender modding and going wide body... I am so jealous that your car can do that and I have to go wide body on my 8 or 9 You should be fine man. I think very minimal if any

Yes that is Very sick and a very clean IS I have always loved those cars

I am going to try to do that on my IV since I can't fit anything really aggressive or with a low offset on it. The widest I have been able to fit on a stock body IV is only 8" wide Stock Evo IX wheels which are not aggressive at all So I want to do this and see if I can squeeze some 9" to 9.5" wide wheels on this thing with some serious work front and rear

Nope its not bad at all on the Evo X's he is a lucky SOB Now if it was a Evo 8 or 9 then there would need to be some work to go on here.

You can find the eastwood fender roller on ebay, for a little over 200$.
Or someone on here may have them for rent if u need to.

I need to do mine also.

Shave them or cut them - MUCH easier.
