Gauge cluster brighter *revisited*

Some of the non believers said "dimmer" this and "not brighter than before" here is a pic with my Stewart Warner Boost gauge (LED bulb) which is not attached to the dimmer switch. One with the dimmer all the way down, and one with the dimmer all the way up.

I need to do something like that, but first I have to find out why the all went out except for the one 40mph spot.

so.... take out bulb > sand > color? that's it? what is "red gel covers"? and what kinda of red pen/paint do you use?

The pics are with no covers.....stock bulbs have either a blue/white cover on them. All I did is remove them.
