I went to the dealership to pickup some antifreeze thinking Mitsu had its own special type and what do I see on the lot? A brand spanking new black evo MR. I sit down with the dealer and I basically sell my soul to Mitsubishi to have this car. I leave the lot with the car and get home just to get into a huge argument with my wife. She doesn't understand me at all and I did not want to have to sit there and regret my purchase. I'm sure she would've been happy had I come home with a minivan or something. To make a long story short, I've been sleeping at my mother's the last couple of days and to be honest, I wake up happy knowing my black MR is sitting in the garage waiting for me. Honey, if you're reading this I'm sorry but a man has his needs. Oh, yeah I'm looking to trade+cash my wheels & tires with someone who has a fairly new IX enkei set. I'm in Norcal (sac). You made a bold move there...Black MR is soooo slick...but on the other hand, you have your wife to deal with...hope all goes well for your relationship, cause I know you'll keep the car in good hands

 

I just wanted to add that I got the car for $35897 from Golden State Mitsubishi in Sacramento. They have about 20 evos in stock but no black MRs. A retort to the guy saying I have my priorities wrong, dude, no one is going to starve over this and I still pay the bills so I don't know what's the big deal. My wife is somewhat competitive with me and the last time I bought my 05 evo she had to buy her volvo the same day. She's probably upset to see me so frickin happy. Go figure.

Looks nice, but black Evos only look good with alot of work. The paint is such crap that I would never get a black one. Hope your wife decides to let you sleep in the house again. It must suck to pay the bills at a house your not welcome at.

This reminds me when I got my IX MR. My wife kept on telling me why did I get such an ugly car. For that much money I could have just added a few thousands and got myself an M3. She's a pretty good/crazy driver as well but she never learned to drive stick. I think if she did manage to learn how to drive the Evo she would understand why. But yeah, like your wife she was damn pissed at me for about 2 weeks. Nothing a little shopping and dinner would not fix.

A full year later she still thinks its ugly as hell. Haha!
