I swear...I only had my car for 1000 miles and I have gotten over 30 pin sized rock chips over the front end. Not even Honda paint would do this......cheap mitsu

I bought black too, and it is hard to ignore the many chips and nicks on the front bumper. I will eventually have the whole car painted in a year or two. I will definitely be getting a clear bra to help protect it after getting fresh paint.

Hell, I even have small spots in my door jambs where the door attaches to the car that are showing rust. I just cringe and try not to look. I baby my car too! Yep, Mitsu paint is so pitiful. I try to forget that it is a $30k car and enjoy the drive.

That's the one downside to buying used. I got my '05 with 12k miles on it with no clear bra.

i make it a point not to tailgate people when driving...

they should have charged an extra 500$ for better paint... you'd think they would learn after making this car or 20 years that every thinks their paint sucks...

I try not to tailgate either, but sometimes stuff gets thrown up on it anyway. I do have to admit that most of it was like that before I bought the car.

guys ,the nature of paint isnt a cure all,if a sharp object strikes it,no matter how far away it is,it will chip...force+ mass+impact=chips...nothing short of getting a cover when you first get your car will stop it from happening..

2nd week I owned my evo I got on the expressway...was cruising at 60 and a flat bed cut me off and while he was cutting me off he hit a dip in the highway and showered me with rocks...I give up on owning a nice car.
