If you want to strech the tire no problem. IF you want to run 265s on it, then you'll have to shave a pull.
That sounds feasible maybe in the front (at a very high stance), but not in the back.
I've seen 2 cars running this setup (17x9 +22 TE37s) one of them had GarageHRS fenders in the front and Voltex in the Rear, the other car was on stock fenders but stock ride height. I think he was planning on lowering the car after rolling the fenders. This was the set-up I was going to get

So how can people run 18x9.5 +20 offset Work Emotion CR Kai's with no modification whatsoever? But 9" wide with +22 offset won't work?
By my math, the 9" wide wheel should be sticking out 8.35mm LESS than the 9.5" wide wheel with 20mm offset
And what about the silver EVO with white TE37's, 18x9.5 +12 in the front and 18x10.5 +22 in the rear, with no wide fenders or anything?

You have to understand that it will all depend on tire brand and size, as well as ride height, as to what will fit and what needs rolled, etc. It also depends on how hard it is driven. Sure you might not get rub on some of them cruising around on the street...but take it to the track and push it HARD on a car that is substantially lower and you'll be more limited as to what will work and what won't. I run 285/30 Hoosiers and there is NO WAY a +24 would work in the rear. If I had a stretched 255 tire and didn't race then it would. I THOUGHT I had no issues in the front until I pushed it hard in testing and got rub on my front lip edge...so I even had to roll up the front fender lips. Some make it sound easy to fit big wheels..it's not. After one autox I ran into another issue. I rubbed through the front fender liner into some sheetmetal causing a small cut on my tires. Now I have to take a hammer to that area. It wouldn't be an issue on a car that is just driven on the street though. Everyone needs to keep these things in mind. If you're going to push your Evo hard and run the proper 265+ tire that you should on a 9.5" rim be careful with what you choose.

nowhere in the 1st page does it say you can run work cr kai's 18x9.5 w/o any modification at all
that is just silly. look at how much those tires stick out of the rear fender of this GG.
I am refering to the post that said no modification at all.
F.Y.I. I have talked to jim at work USA, he knows the guy who ownes the gg w/ the 18x9.5" +20 cr kai's. He said he mounted the wheels, drove it out into the parking lot and took pix of it. That's it!
If you want these wheels, you will have to be willing to do the following:
1.roll or shave the rears within 1/16 of their life.
2. pull out the front fenders just a little bit.
3. adjust the camber on the rear.
I shold know, I will have these wheels and thats what I will have to do to get them to fit without rubbing at all (for the most part)

Thank you for your post!!

I CANNOT stress this enough. Although you CAN run these wheels on the Evo, it WILL take A LOT of work.
Just to clarify for those that are looking for these wheels....PLEASE don't think this is a bolt-on option. If you're gangstar enough, by all means...but if not, PLEASE look for another fitment

This is basically the same setup that you would run on a 350Z rear, or an S14. On an Evo.....pretty mextastic.

Another good point is that if you run a smaller tire like a 245/40/18, it helps as the extreme stretch of the sidewall will give you the angle you need to help clear the fender.
