problems with JDM rear fitment

well i just installed the JDM rear..WHAT A *****!not sure if anyone else ran into problems but me and my friends did...first it bolts on and everything but the screws behind the rear wheels didnt want to go in all the way so it left a gap...then since the lights were out it didnt look like the holes even lined up at all..

anyone else have issues getting there JDM rear on there car....and i doubt this even matters but are there different bumper fitments for a a IX to an VIII?thanks in advance

Yes, you should have gotten the VIII version of the IX bumper....

Since the bumper is designed for and unique to the JDM IX there cannot be a bumper for the 03-05 which is an VIII. The factory rear USDM bumpers are the same for the VIII and the IX so I can't see why (the JDM IX rear) if it's fits fine on the USDM IX why it wouldn't fit on the USDM VIII.

Maybe teh alignment of that retainning bar was messed up when you had to rivet it to the new JDM IX rear bumper.

My JDM rear fit real good, it is an OEM part. Did you remove your rear crash beam? That needs to be removed prior to installing the JDM rear......Post pics after you get it painted!

Is it an OEM rear or aftermarket? If it's aftermarket it could just be crappy craftsmanship.

shouldn't be any problem ,simply because the evo designed for that bumper, not what we got here...
