I think the blue part of the VIII seats looks like foam. Whoever at Recaro designed the center part should be dragged into the street and beaten with a seat rail.

first time loading pictures hope they look alright. Like I said earlier maybe not perfect but it only cost me $20 and not a $1000, so I'm happy with it. I used about 1 can per a seat about 3 1/2 total.

I'd get them reupholstered. BTW, I preferred the feel of my VIII seats to my IX's. They just felt narrower.

Yea, I'm gonna do this this summer. I am also not a fan of my blue 8 seats. I'd like to buy 9s and then sell mine, but its a PITA and $. DYI FTW

I think these seats came out great IMO if u realy take the timeout 2 get it right it should come out nice. Close if not just like stock

I just sprayed some paint in the cap and used a paint brush.

i would get them reupholstered along the lines of this.

looks much better than spray paint and your seats wont feel harder because of the dye/paint.
