Changing the seat color

It might sound stupid but I really hate my EVO 8 seats. I do not like the blue. I thought about having them recovered but could I dye the blue, maybe black? I figured that if I screw up with the dye then I could just have them recovered.

I think you will have to paint them not dye them. IMO it's going to look like crap.

^^^^ How about selling your seats? They're pretty popular with STi people. Then just buy IX seats, they-re black

Pick up some IX seats. Maybe at a junkyard or something.

yes, search for that. I remember seeing those seats and they looked pretty decent. A little weird seeing a flat black in the friction section but it may work for you.

I think it came out alright for a DIY job. He used a flat black fabric paint by Dupli Color.

Maybe not better than stock but don't look bad for a dye job. It depends on what you're willing to spend. You got the means, get the Recaro's from the IX. You'll be happy with the color and satisfied in knowing they're authentic for the Evo line. Problem solved. Everyone's happy.

Ok, looking at the pictures I am not feeling the painted seats but I like the headliner.
