I did a frame grab from a european EVO video. I am interested in the HVAC knobs primarily. Also the relocation of the stereo and HVAC. I have seen a kit from Orbital that does this relocation but I wasn't sure if this was factory in another market?

 

Euro spec and JDM spec evos come with an auto climate control system and is positioned there from the factory. USDM just gets a simple analog system, the same one found on the Evo VIIs.

 

Has anyone uprgaded? I don't expect the automatic climate feature to work but I like the cosmetics?

 

Yes, factory for everywhere but here. No one has done the conversion. It has been talked about numerous time but, is generally regarded as too expensive.

 

So, you just want pretty knobs that do nothing?

 

i believe our USDM knobs move by a cable when you turn them, and the UK/JDM are moved electronically when turned.

So the conversion would be pretty expensive

 

They would do everything the car is currently capable of.
