HID Conversion not working :(
Yeah so I picked up an HID conversion kit for my 05 GSR, came with ballasts, bulbs and wiring. Plug and play kit, not really anything to be messed up as far as installation, the connectors only go on one way.
Basically I hooked just the new hardware up (and the other bulbs) but the headlight and its hardware all still off the car getting painted. I tried this for a 'test run'. When I have the stock low beams in, all lights function normally. With the HID kit swapped in the low beams place, all the stock stuff works (turns, high beams etc) but the low beam HID's don’t come on.
Is there a relay or a fuse or anything that needs to be upgraded for these to work? Instructions aren’t specific but they just say its plug and play. Also note that the stock fuse (10 or 15 amps or something) is not blown.
Thanks for any help guys

Hmm they have the connectors as such that I can only plug them in one way. I'll try swapping some lines and see what I get. The diagram does say red and black to the box, but red and black are coming out of the box.

I'll see if I can find my camera. I just did a DOVM voltage test. I have power fine coming from the stock connector. It hooks up to a new set of wires from the kit and those wires hook into the ballast. The wires test fine, but testing the output wires from the ballast show no voltage.
So whatever is going on, there is a problem with the ballast not sending voltage to the bulb. I'm going to contact the manufacturer, see what they say.

Ok I got this working now. What a total PITA!!!!
Basically the kit had one connector that attached to the stock plug in, then had 1 large rubber/plastic wire that lead from there to the ballast. I had to strip off the rubber shell and swap the two wires inside then re-solder them. Looks like junk but it will do the trick.
