Strange paint chips
I've got two chips in the exact place as well; one on the metal, one on the top of the plastic side skirt just below. The chip on the metal seems to have a tiny spot of rust or rust color right in the middle; I may take it to
and try to have them fix it under the anti-corrosion warranty.

Mine is chipped like a mother f'er.
The door is recessed just a little too far.
That piece takes a direct hit from stones off the front tires.
The front of the rocker is not wide enough to stop **** from flying up.
If the door stuck out a little more the stones would glance off it at a slight angle.( not the best solution but, better than a direct hit.)
I am going to tell my dealer(AGAIN!)
I bought some 3M chip tape but I don't want to put it over the existing chips. I would like to have it fixed first.

I'm not getting the chips that low, mine are actually on the C-pillar itself. The variety of yellow colors from the official touch-up paint on my hood is interesting to look at.
Everybody watch these chips. I had the smallest chip on my b-pillar, passenger side front door, right where the black meets the weatherstrip running up and down.
Never would've even seen it if it hadn't began to rust. That brown river pointed me to the culprit.
My fender chips are rusting too. Maybe this car needs annual resprays.

How or where on God's green earth are you driving these great cars? Are you all really enjoying the offroad handling of that much, or is this from your common everyday construction crud that is the parasitic clear coat nemesis of the developed world?

finally. heh.
