The guy I bought it off ziptied it and wrapped the zipties in tape...i think it was electrical tape. but something nice and soft. it basically goes where the bracket WOULD. No pics tho, sorry. I'm not putting a front plate on mine. Ill take the ticket.

My bumper was pre-drilled by the dealership when I took delivery. I live in a state that requires front plates but I said the hell with it. I've never had a front plate for last four years and have never been pulled over for not having one. I've been pulled over twice for speeding (1 ticket, 1 warning), but the cops never bothered to look for a front plate.

I say go without one altogether - I mean, even if you're fined for it, how much can that be? $25-$50 bucks? Screw it, pay the fine (if you ever get one), and go topless, er, without a front plate.

Here in Cali getting pulled over for no front plate can lead to you getting your hood popped and being sent to the ref. I don't know what the laws are in your state but I chose to put mine on.

Yeah, I live in Cali too and those holes weren't looking too good after a while of seeing them. Damn laws!

I live in Cali too and I put on everything to avoid getting pulled over. Just use heavy duty 3M tape if you want it to stick well. Mine has been on for months with no problems.

We have that law here, but 99% of the cops don't really care. So...mine is off because it was from Penn before and didn't have it. I do have the equipment in case a cop decides to make me do it.

Personally I'm toying with the idea of removing my front plate, but considering mine came that way from the dealer, I'm not sure which would be worse: the plate, or the holes left over.

To compromise I removed the narsty black frame and installed this:

Hmm, that looks a little better then that huge frame. As far as the holes, yeah. It wouldn't look that good. I still don't want to drill holes in the poor evo!

Like I said above, my bumper was pre-drilled by the dealership but even with two small holes, I think it looks better without the plate than with one. Just a personal preference I guess as I'm so used to how the car looks now.
