I was posting about the washers needed to give extra support in all these various mounting locations. The rods just keep the splitter pulled to an upward angle. Why would they break off easy unless the whole splitter was pulled right off the frame

I sure hope your wrong.
i have the same splitter 2 years ago, the rod will break very easy when you going up/down to a slope than scratch/bent the splitter. I'm not saying it will break due to down force. I broke mine rod few times already and i just leave it without the rods.

I went to dude's website to check it out, and came across this description of a wing.

Clearing the topic which is required from the street car which of course, weight and the finish, called the beauty of the forum which generates optimum down fourth durability and quality at high level. Anyone translate?
I couldn't find your on there..
What'd the splitter set you back?

apr splitter poor fit

mine didn't fit at all the instructions say 2006-2007 I have a 2006 ix so you'd think it would fit! on one half, the splitter holes lined up perfectly, but then the other half was not even close. Even if the holes did line up the whole splitter was not centered, meaning that it was flush on one side of the car, but again the other side stuck out at least one inch.....argggggggggggggg....any suggestion to make this fit properly???? my undertray fits perfectly so I just dont understant why the ARP splitter does not fit correctly....do I need to re-drill the holes in the proper place?

^^ the splitter is supposed to stick out of each side around a 1/2 inch.. it is not supposed to be flush with the bumper... and all of the ones i have seen fit great!

that my be true but it not very helpful, since the fact remains that one side IS flush using the existing holes.....so how do you account for that? I'm looking for help and would like to get someone advise that can help me fix the problem.

if your SE lip did not come with your evo...you are missing to brackets that are needed to mate the SE lip to the APR splitter.

part # - 6512a151
part # - 6512a152

They are needed to reuse the stock undertray with the SE lip. They rivet to the lip and have mounting holes for the undetray. They are also needed for use with an APR windsplitter unless you want to drill holes.

on mitsubishiparts.net they are $30.99 ea

nice looking splitter but i had to remove it, because it was too heavy for my stock lip...had to replace the stock lip for the cf ralliart style (two support that hold the lip were broken) and i was afraid to hit the pavement damaging the front bumper because i lower the evo .
