See mine below...

I have an RS, so I put it in the subwoofer location.

Used the stock tie-downs, 10 ga wire, in-line fuse (a must), and plastic sheilding

Just make sure the ground wire as short as possible (to prevent noise in electrical system). And if you can use a sealed battery so you don't have to deal with venting the hydrogen gas to outside the trunk.

Never had a problem in almost 3 yrs.

I don't see why everyone makes a big deal of venting and kill switch. BMW's have the batteries in the trunk and there is no kill switch or vent.. You could always get a Optima and really not have to worry about the venting.

Accidental Spills

Had a ride once in a VW bug that had battery leak...breathed in the fumes for some time before we realized what was wrong. Had a sore throat for weeks afterwards.

When I get a chance, I'm going to plunk down the $200 plus for a Odyssey battery, the PC1200MJT which is approximately stock size and will still fit into my Taylor box. No fluids to worry about then.

The pics are below...nothing special since the car's going to the track and not meant to be pretty.
