have the Ti-c on an evo 7... sticks out FAR...

Thinking of cutting the tip slightly to get a little less of that look

dont cut that beautiful tip! Cut the piping before the muffler and shorten it that way! I would hate to see that nice burnt ti tip get sawed off!

No not the tip.. but a small piece on the inside of it just almost to the "G" in the greddy imprint...

just to take at least a 1/2 inch off the length of it...

EDIT:

Just cut the inside of the tip and it makes a drastic improvement...

I cut exactly 22mm from the inner end of the piece... now it does take a little piece off the writing... but it's very slight. You can still read "Greddy" clearly on both sides.

Then measure the position where the holes for the silencer bolt up to, drill and that's it. Simple mod. I dunno how much of a difference it will make to the JDM 9 bumper but here's the difference...

That's just the reflection of the barrel itself... The Ti-C systems' tip has to be removed to get the silencer out... three screws. you can remove the tip and cut where the bolt holes are... 22mm from the end.

I used a hacksaw... did leave some scratches but very minor... I'm sure there is a cleaner way to perform this...

when done I had a template for the new holes to be drilled and just bolt it back to the barrel itself. I think it's a nice simple mod for any JDM iX owner who thinks it sticks out too much for their taste...

And it seems it's only the Ti-C can remove the tip... the full ti looks welded.
