C-WEST or APR???

guys...i am really confused...i am in the process of building my evo and i need to paint my front bumper due to so many chips and sand blasts...

anyways...since i am going to be running a Buschur Race FMIC, if i use the stock bumper, some portion of the intercooler will be hidden behind the bumper..so now i am thinking, since my existing bumper is already banged up...maybe its time to buy a new bumper....for the following reasons:
1) aesthitically refresh up the car
2) maximize the airflow into the intercooler.
3) no one in my area is running that same bumper.

or just fix up my own bumper and bolt it right up along with an APR CF Lip..

whatcha think?

ps the buschur race core intercooler really fills up the huge cwest opening.

thanks in advance

I think the C-West front bumper is probably the worst thing that's ever been made for the Evo. Looks gaudy/ricey and doesn't flow with the lines of the car whatsoever.

Just my opinion

I have the APR GT lip. It's nice but it cracked along the bottom edge for no reason (was only on for maybe a month, never scraped or hit it on anything). Probably just a material defect. Switching to a C-West now 'cause I like the idea of the PFRP.

This is why I always said I wouldn't buy fiberglass parts I really wish there were more urethane lip options for the IX, even the Evo in general. (Like Cusco's lip for the 04-05 STis)

That's just my opinion mate. Do what makes ya happy

I know you said APR and C-West are your only options, so between the two I'd definitely go APR. If I had to choose any aftermarket bumper I guess it'd be Voltex...but I think the stock IX bumper with a tasteful lip (SE, Ralliart, ChargeSpeed) is the best way to go.

C-west is alright. But getting a cf lip isn't as bad as well. Ever considered the Rexspeed Cf lip? Looks great, have one waiting to be installed in spring.

Either keep the stock, adding the lip and maybe some canards. Or go with the APR bumper. C-west is alittle played out I think
